How far apart should rhododendrons be spaced?
Would you like to plant several rhododendrons? Ideally, you should plant 1 rhododendron per 1 to 2m2. With large-flowered and large-leaved varieties, it’s best to allow at least 1m distance between the plants. For the first few years, plant a ground-cover plant nearby. And avoid planting rhododendrons near shallow-rooted trees such as birches and pines.
